Vallée de la Clarée 4 ply or lace hand dyed yarn

Vallée de la Clarée is a hand-dyed yarn in subtle orange hues with dashes of scarlet and yellow. This hand-painted yarn is soft and lustrous, available in two bases: baby alpaca lace and 4 ply merino nylon blend.

The baby alpaca lace is perfect to make a delicate shawl, the yarn is full of drape and very soft. The 4 ply version has sheen and is springy and sleek. It can be used to make socks, gloves, hats, cowls or even a jumper or a cardigan. This yarn would make the perfect gift for a knitter or a crocheter!

Choose your yarn base:

Baby alpaca lace 100g skein. 100% supersoft baby alpaca. 800m (approximately 874 yards). Recommended needles: 3-4mm (US 2-6). Gauge in stockinette stitch: 32 stitches x 40 rows = 10x10cm (4x4 inches) with 3.5mm needles (US 3).

4 ply 75% merino 25% nylon base: 400m, 100g skein. Recommended needle size: 2.5 - 4 mm (1-6 US) Gauge (in stockinette stitch): 28 stitches and 36 rows for a 10 x 10 cm square (4 inches) with 3.25 mm (US 1) needles.

Care instructions: wash at 30C. Dry flat. Reshape while wet.

Hand-dyed with professional non toxic acid dyes. Washed after dyeing process. Be aware that the colour can bleed slightly during the first wash. Although we are taking great care with our photography process to be true to the real colours, your perception of them can vary from one monitor to another.
